The Los Angeles Lakers weren’t done when they waived Shake Milton earlier on Sunday.
Now, they have also waived Jordan Goodwin, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania. The moves were made to clear salary for the pending addition of Marcus Smart.
Goodwin joined the Lakers midway through and was a solid piece. He started five of the 29 games he played for the purple and gold, and he also appeared in a handful of playoff games.
With the Lakers, Goodwin averaged 5.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.0 steals per game while shooting 38.2% from beyond the arc.

At 26 years old, Goodwin should get another shot elsewhere in the NBA.
In his career, Goodwin averages 6.2 points and 2.4 assists per game. He has played for the Wizards, Suns, Grizzlies and Lakers.
He’ll be hoping one of his old teams, or a new team entirely, wants him now that he’s free to join a new squad.
