Knicks’ Miles McBride comments on recent hot shooting stretch

New York Knicks guard Miles McBride has been on fire of late from three-point range. Despite his upwards trajectory, McBride doesn’t feel as though he’s done anything different resulting in the hike in efficiency.

McBride entered Sunday connecting on 64.3 percent of his three-point attempts over his last six games. In his last outing against the Utah Jazz, McBride connected on seven threes in the win. On the season, McBride is averaging a career-high 12.0 points per game and is shooting 46 percent from beyond the arc. After coming into the league as not much of a threat from outside, McBride has turned himself into one of the league’s best shooters.

McBride has shot 40 percent or better from downtown in two of the last three seasons including this year, a rise that many probably did not expect when he first came into the league.

When asked about it, McBride says he doesn’t feel as though he’s done anything different in terms of his shooting, despite the gaudy results of late.

“Y’all are telling me the numbers. I’m just out there. My teammates are doing a great job of finding me. It feels natural,” McBride said.

Now shooting with ultra-confidence, McBride will look to continue his hot shooting throughout the season as he figures to be an important piece to a Knicks team that is looking to snap its decades-long title drought in 2025-26.
