It wound up being a very bad night for Jalen Brunson and the Knicks.
But for a while, it looked like New York and its lefty point guard were cruising.
Part of that control came from officiating that the Indiana fans on social media simply weren’t happy with.
Maybe the most egregious was this play, where Brunson ended up showing off his “foul merchant” skills that OKC’s Shai Gilegous-Alexander has been accused of using in the playoffs.
This is a must-see clip for the entertainment value.
Brunson is being guarded tightly by Aaron Nesmith. Their arms get tangled. And it sure looks like Brunson was grabbing Nesmith’s arm right into his head area.
Nah man Jalen Brunson just raised the bar for foul baiting. He took Neismith arm and HIT HIMSELF in the FACE ðŸ˜ðŸ˜

To be fair to both of these guys, drawing fouls and getting to the line is good offense.
It may not be aesthetically pleasing, but it’s simply what the NBA has right now. And the basketball around the foul line is still so special for someone catching up to the professional ranks.
When SGA and Brunson take the floor, they’re two of the best players in the world, regardless of what anyone else says.
