Two things are going on around the NBA right now. The NBA trade machine is getting fired up, and everyone is trying to make the trade rumors come true, and players are getting offseason issues fixed with minor surgeries. What may have gotten lost in all the Golden State Warriors rumors going around is that Brandin Podziemski underwent another offseason surgery to fix an issue that hampered him last season. This Brandin Podziemski surgery shouldn’t have too big of an impact on the Warriors’ offseason moves, but it is still worth paying attention to.
According to Anthony Slater of the Athletic, “Brandin Podziemski underwent surgery yesterday to repair a core muscle injury, Warriors announce. It occurred midseason, forced him to miss games and clearly still bothered him into the summer. Podziemski also had wrist surgery recently. He’s expected to be ready for camp.”
This is surprising news for many Warriors fans. Podziemski, although banged up a bit throughout the season, ended the season playing (seemingly) pretty healthy during the playoffs.
The Warriors’ news of Podziemski’s latest surgery indicates that it may not have been the case.
Podziemski was supposedly playing through an injury that he got during the middle of the season.
Besides confirming that Podziemski is one tough dude, which everyone already knew, this is good news for Warriors fans. Podziemski still had a solid sophomore season, and he was doing most of it while hampered.

Now that Podziemski’s injury should no longer be an issue, he can enter next season healthy and ready to build on his game from last year.
