Do the Phoenix Suns stink?
Recent body language from Suns players suggests something fishy going on in Phoenix, if the four-straight losses and 15-18 record didn’t already give it away.
Forbes’ Evan Sidery has been dutifully tracking the Suns’ downfall, with Sidery’s most recent update arriving after Phoenix’s Saturday night loss to the Indiana Pacers.
“The Suns were blown out yet again tonight, even with Bradley Beal back in the starting lineup,” Sidery said.
“Phoenix is now 7-17 since their 8-1 start to the season as body language from their stars appears to be getting to an all-time low. This situation is close to blow it up territory.”
In the spirit of Sidery foreshadowing a blow-up in Phoenix, let’s remind ourselves of a few possible Kevin Durant trade destinations.
Kevin Durant to the Atlanta Hawks
The Trade

Young is one of the best returns for a 36-year-old Durant that Phoenix is likely to find.
The crazy thing is that Atlanta might actually consider this deal. It’s no secret that the Hawks can’t stand that Trae is a liability on defense — he sticks out like a sore thumb among Atlanta’s growing fleet of young, long defenders.
And while KD doesn’t fit with Atlanta’s timeline, he’d make them better right now (they are a playoff team this year, in case you haven’t noticed), and his mentorship of wings like Jalen Johnson and Dyson Daniels could be huge for Atlanta.
Look, Atlanta is unlikely to pay Young when his exorbitant deal runs out in the next few years (player option for 2026-27).
Why don’t the Hawks just take on Durant’s big money, which clears their books a full season earlier?
KD to the Hawks is a fascinating development, but it’s far from the only destination that would be awesome to see for Durant.
