Kevin Durant sends savage seven-word message to Warriors fans after toxic interaction

While Kevin Durant is no longer a member of the Golden State Warriors, the 15-time All-Star still enjoys trolling the organization years after leaving the Bay.

On Saturday, Durant took the liberty of sending a savage seven-word message to Warriors fans on social media after a toxic back-and-forth social media interaction.

“Them finals MVPs, they will never recover,” Durant wrote on X/Twitter when asked why Dubs fans despise him.

For clarity, Durant is referencing the two Finals MVPs he captured with the Warriors in 2017 and 2018.

While Durant led the Dubs in scoring during both title runs, many believe that the former Oklahoma City Thunder stud was undeserving of at least one of his Finals MVP awards.

Durant’s ex-superstar teammate Stephen Curry had a compelling case as well, specifically during the 2018 NBA Finals.

The 37-year-old was unstoppable against a Cleveland Cavaliers squad that was eager for revenge.

Curry averaged 27.5 points, 6.8 assists, and 6.0 rebounds per game in the final round of the postseason, shooting 40.2% from the field and 41.5% from three.

More importantly, Curry was the best player on the floor in the last game of the series, utilizing his gravity and next-level space creation to wreak havoc on the offensive end.

The Dubs completed a sweep of the Cavaliers thanks to Curry’s efficient 37-point performance on the road in Game 4

Regardless, Durant took home the most notable individual accolade a player can receive in the playoffs, allowing him to boast about his past success while preparing for his first season with the up-and-coming Houston Rockets.
