Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford and his wife, Kelly Stafford, are celebrating 10 years of marriage.
Kelly took to Instagram on Friday, April 4, to share some throwback photos of herself and her Super Bowl-winning husband in honor of their milestone anniversary.
“10 years in and my heart feels so full. Couldn’t imagine loving you more, but I know over the next decade, that’s exactly what’s gonna happen. Happy anniversary John Matthew Stafford,” she wrote in the caption.
Kelly included two throwback pictures of her and Matthew standing nose to nose while wearing brightly colored “Mr. and Mrs.” baseball hats. She also included a current picture of them posing with the same hats.
While many fans likely view Stafford’s marriage as “picture perfect,” the 35-year old mother of four recently opened up about some of the challenges they’ve had to face over the years.
During an episode of her podcast The Morning After, Kelly acknowledged that becoming parents added a very new dimension to their marriage.
“Now, all of a sudden, you’re putting someone else first. There’s kids involved. It just becomes tougher and tougher with the more things thrown your way,” she said.
Matthew’s incredible career success has also been something that Kelly has had to get used to.
“I’m not saying he changed as a person,” she said. “He’s still the same guy that I’ve always known when it comes to his personality and the way he is with people and stuff like that. But I will say, there was something that I had to adjust to, which was the more crazy, fun Matthew to the professional Matthew.”
Matthew and Kelly have four children, all daughters. 8-year-old twins Sawyer and Chandler were born on March 31, 2017. Hunter Stafford is 6-years-old and was born on August 16, 2018. Finally, the youngest, 4-year-old Tyler Stafford, was born on June 26, 2020.
