Dutch speed skater Jutta Leerdam has just revealed the sweet surprise Jake Paul included in his marriage proposal over the weekend.
On Sunday, the YouTube sensation and boxer, 28, announced his engagement to Jutta, 26, on Instagram. He included several pictures of the happy moment and the caption, “We’re engaged. We can’t wait to spend forever together.”
The couple donned all-white outfits for the big moment, which took place on a balcony overlooking the ocean. Paul had the scenic spot outdoors covered in white candles, bouquets of roses, and rose petals before he got down on one knee.
In addition to making it as romantic as possible, Jutta has now revealed that Paul also flew out her parents so they could be a part of the proposal.
“POV: You just got engaged and your finace surprises you with flying in your parents,” Jutta posted to TikTok on Monday.
She captioned the post, “The best day of my life. I’m so blessed @Jake Paul My 3 favorite people together. Still crying about this.”
She included a video of capturing the surprise moment when she saw her parents standing nearby after Jake popped the question.
The 26-year-old Olympic speed skater could be seen running towards her parents and jumping down as she hugged them excitedly.
Her parents seemed equally as excited.
At the end of the video clip, Jutta’s father, Ruud Leerdam, called Paul, “My son.”
“We’re related now,” Ruud added.
Several people took to the comments section to applaud Paul’s romantic side.
“WAIT i’m so invested in this now it keeps getting sweeter and sweeter,” one person commented.
“Jake is so sweet,” another person wrote.

Paul met the 26-year-old speed skater after sliding into her DMs on social media.
“Jake sent me a DM on Instagram and asked if I wanted to be on his podcast. And I was like, ‘Okay, let’s do it. Can be good, can be nice,” Leerdam said in the documentary “Countdown: Paul vs. Tyson.“
Leederdam says she never expected to date him, but wound up finding him charming and funny.
“We really clicked in these two fast-paced worlds on a deep and super personal level,” Leerdam said.
The couple went Instagram official the following year in April 2023 and have been together ever since.
Their love story will be featured on Paul’s upcoming reality show, Paul American, which premieres on Max on Thursday, March 27.
