Justin Jefferson has spent the past month with that little ‘Q’ next to him on fantasy football websites.
It stems from a preseason hamstring injury that prevented him from playing in any games in August.
Now, though, the Minnesota Vikings are approaching their season opener. They’ll be the closer on Week 1 when they play the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football.
Given the timing, it makes it pretty important that Jefferson plays. There won’t be a lot of lineup alternatives if he’s a surprise inactive.
Is Justin Jefferson playing Week 1?
Justin Jefferson is expected to play in Week 1.
All along, his injury has been one that Minnesota wanted to be cautious with, but not one they expected to keep him out of the regular season.
And as Monday Night Football approaches, all seems to be OK in Jefferson’s plans.

Fantasy stashes if Justin Jefferson is out
If Justin Jefferson is out, the only players that can fill his spot are Vikings or Bears.
The Vikings have two main WR options: Jalen Nailor and Adam Thielen.
The Bears likely only have one that could be available: Luther Burden. In a much deeper league, Olamide Zaccheaus would also be worth a dart throw.
It doesn’t seem like these names will end up being needed, though.
