After nearly reaching the NBA Finals last season, the New York Knicks have been hard at work making the finishing touches to the roster in hopes of keeping their window to contend open. As one new addition gets acclimated, Josh Hart decided to have some fun with him on social media.
In free agency, the Knicks have prioritized rounding out the depth around their core. They’ve nabbed a pair of high-quality rotation player that should drastically upgrade their second unit. Among those brought in was Jordan Clarkson, who signed with New York after being bought out by the Utah Jazz.
Clarkson has been one of the top reserve guards in the league for some time, and now will be attempting to help elevate the Knicks into a legitimate title contender. Likely serving as New York’s sixth man, Clarkson will have the key task of keeping the offense flowing when Jalen Brunson is off the floor.
After the signing was made official, photos surfaced online of Clarkson working out in Knicks gear for the first time. Hart ended up re-posting it, making fun of the veteran guard’s shirt choice.

Hart is one player Clarkson should quickly build a connection with given their history. The two were teammates earlier in their careers on the LA Lakers. Now established vets, they have a chance to compete together at the highest level on the Knicks.
Though it’s unclear how Mike Brown will fill out his rotation, it’s likely that Clarkson and Hart are going to be crucial pieces of the Knicks’ second unit next season.
