Jonathan Kuminga makes stance with Warriors clear

Jonathan Kuminga’s future in The Bay with the Golden State Warriors continues to be in the air.

The Warriors latest two-year offer to Kuminga worth $45 million was turned down by the forward, which also came with a no-trade clause.

And ClutchPoints’ Brett Siegel believes he knows why.

Does Kuminga Even Want to Return to the Warriors?

According to Siegel, he doesn’t believe that Kuminga wants to return to the team, and that it will take quite a beg from Golden State if they want to convince him to stay.

“The only reason Kuminga hasn’t accepted this contract is because he truly doesn’t want to return to the Warriors,” Siegel reported. “To change his mind, an understanding of what Kuminga wants will need to be at the forefront.”

The Warriors have already rejected offers from the Sacramento Kings and Phoenix Suns for the 22-year-old Congolese player.

The Milwaukee Bucks also tried for a run at Kuminga, but when Steve Kerr wanted Bobby Portis, the Bucks stopped talking.

As Kuminga remains a restricted free agent, he has a little over a month before the October 1 deadline to accept whatever the Warriors throw at him.
