Joe Burrow house break-in details: What to know about police investigation and model Olivia Ponton

The Bengals and Joe Burrow were in Dallas on Monday night, picking up a big win. During the game, the QB’s home near Cincinnati was broken into and ransacked, and several items were stolen.

This is the latest in a streak of burglaries surrounding NFL players’ or coaches’ homes.

Model Olivia Ponton, who appears to work for Burrow in some capacity, reported the break-in. When police responded, she was the only person at the home but wasn’t present during the actual break-in.

Here are all of the details surrounding the break-in at Burrow’s home.

Joe Burrow house break-in details

Burrow’s home is in Anderson Township, Ohio, just outside Cincinnati proper. It is about 13 miles east of Paycor Stadium, where the Bengals play home games. If it were a normal week for Cincinnati, Burrow likely would have been home on Monday night, but he was on the road since the Bengals were playing in “Monday Night Football” against the Cowboys.

Ponton supposedly works for Burrow, but there are now rumors swirling around the two possibly dating. When she called the police to report the break-in, she reportedly said: “Someone broke into my house.” Ponton noticed that she found the bedroom window “shattered” and the room “ransacked” as the burglars entered Burrow’s house through a rear, first-floor window.

Ponton called the police, as did her mom, and there was reportedly a third call from a woman named “Katie.” Katie called the New York City Police Department and then connected her with Hamilton County police in Ohio, to whom she reported the break-in.

What did Joe Burrow say about the break-in?

Burrow spoke Wednesday about the break-in at his home, though he kept his comments succinct.

“Obviously everybody has heard what has happened,” he told reporters. “I feel like my privacy has been violated in more ways than one. And way more is already out there than I would want out there and that I care to share, so that’s all I got to say about that.”

The Bengals QB did expound further on the speculation about his personal life that has resulted from the incident.

“We live a public life and one of my least favorite parts of that is the lack of privacy,” he said. “And that has been difficult for me to deal with my entire career. Still learning. But I understand it’s the life that we choose. Doesn’t make it any easier to deal with.”

Who is Olivia Ponton?

Ponton is an IMG model and influencer. The 22-year-old is from Florida and has risen in social media popularity since she started posting workout videos during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ponton has 2.9 million followers on Instagram and another 7.6 million on TikTok. In 2022, she purchased a $1.2 million apartment in New York City.

Ponton is said to work for Burrow, likely in some social media advisory fashion, but rumors of their being more than co-workers took off when they appeared together last summer.

NFL house break-ins 2024

The break-in at Burrow’s home is just the latest in a string of robberies tied to NFL players and coaches.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce had their homes broken into in early October. Lions coach Dan Campbell didn’t have a break-in, but in January 2023, angry fans showed up at his house when only his daughter was home, forcing Campbell to move.

The NFL sent out a memo warning players and coaches of these home attacks. The memo said that it had become clear that the burglars were familiar with the player’s game schedules since they are public and suggested adding security when the players were not home.

Where does Joe Burrow live?

Burrow lives in Anderson Township, just east of Cincinnati. His home is about 13 miles from Paycor Stadium.

Joe Burrow house value

Burrow’s home is a four-bedroom, 7,300-square-foot home in Anderson Township. He purchased it for $7.5 million in late 2023 or early 2024.

NFL DRAFT NEWS:

Burrow’s net worth ahead of the 2024 season was estimated to be around $65.7 million by Forbes. He has $4 million in endorsements, but the largest portion of his net worth comes from his football salary.

Burrow signed a five-year, $275 million extension in 2023. The extension kicked in after his rookie contract and fifth-year option with Cincinnati. He is tied to the franchise through the 2029 season.

Burrow is set to hit free agency for the first time in 2030 when he is 34, meaning he will likely spend his entire career with the Bengals.
