Since the release of Netflix’s ‘Quarterback’ Season 2, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has been a star, showcasing more of his off-field personality and the connection he has with his teammates on the field. Burrow may not have a stronger connection with any teammate more than he has with wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase, as the two have thrived together since their college days at LSU.
At the NFL level, Chase has recorded 364 receptions, 5,016 yards, and 45 touchdowns with Burrow throwing him the ball, and the quarterback understands the value his wide receiver brings. In a recent snippet of ‘Quarterback’ Burrow labels Chase as one of the “greatest players of all-time” and said a quarterback shouldn’t be on the team if they are not throwing Chase the ball.
“Ja’Marr is one of the best players of all time. If you’re quarterback, and you’re not gonna throw to that guy, then you shouldn’t be the quarterback of the team anymore.”

There may not be a better friendship and QB-WR connection in the NFL like Burrow and Chase, and for the success of the Bengals, they’ll need to keep their chemistry going on the field. The two can not be the only sources of production for Cincinnati, who certainly needs to see their defense upgrade in the 2025 season behind new defensive coordinator Al Golden.
