The New York Jets are transitioning to a new era in 2025, as the team has a new head coach in Aaron Glenn, a new general manager in Darren Mougey, and a new starting quarterback in Justin Fields after dumping Aaron Rodgers.
Of course, there are still plenty of holdovers from the previous regime, with young star running back Breece Hall being among them. The former second-round pick has definitely shown superstar potential during his career, but questions remain about his future with the team as he enters the final year of his rookie contract.
Glenn recently added more fuel to those doubts after he admitted the team wanted to utilize a committee approach at running back in 2025 that would also include 2024 standout, Braelon Allen, and Isaiah Davis.
“I think, mentally, (Hall is) in a good place, but I would say that we have three running backs on this team that we’re going to utilize as much as possible,” he stated to ESPN’s Rich Cimini.
Hall was already frustrated with his role last season as Allen got a lot more work than anyone expected. There’s a good chance he wasn’t thrilled with what Glenn said, and if that’s true, he could demand a trade.
With that in mind, Last Word on Sports’ Anthony Palacios thinks it’s possible Hall could land with the Baltimore Ravens in a blockbuster trade.

“Keaton Mitchell came back last year, but he had a quiet comeback season and didn’t do much to prove he could be worthy to do much,” Palacios wrote. “Meanwhile, Justice Hill is more of a “dump-off” running back receiver who’s only explosive in screen passes. Breece Hall has his moments of burst and speed, so they could use him in that realm to keep the momentum pushing.”
As talented as Hall is, the last thing the Ravens need to do is give up draft capital for another running back, and especially one that could be gone in 2026. Not to mention, the team is already in great shape at the position with Derrick Henry, Justice Hill and Keaton Mitchell.
Now, if the Ravens were to lose Henry to injury during the 2025 season and Hall is available via trade, we could see Baltimore making a play then. But until that happens, don’t hold your breath for this kind of move, Ravens fans.
