The Boston Celtics are 0-2 to begin the 2025-26 season.
After blowing a double-digit lead to the Philadelphia 76ers in their season opener, the franchise surrendered an early eight-point advantage against the New York Knicks en route to a 105-95 defeat.
On the bright side, Jaylen Brown has played well without his trustworthy backcourt mate, Jaylen Brown (out with an Achilles injury), averaging 24.0 points on 50.0% field goal shooting and 45.5% three-point shooting through two games.
However, during the Celtics’ Friday night clash against the Knicks, the 6-foot-6 NBA champion experienced an embarrassing hair malfunction that left fans stunned.
Late in the third quarter, Brown attempted to turn the corner after receiving a high ball screen, but was stopped in his tracks by OG Anunoby.
Brown elected to pick up his dribble and lean into Anunoby to create space for a mid-range jumper, which is when disaster struck.
A relatively large black mark appeared on Anunoby’s jersey, signaling that a portion of the fake spray-on hair Brown likely used rubbed off on his opponent.
Fans on X/Twitter were in disbelief once the incident began to circulate.
“No way,” one fan wrote.
“This is actually insane,” another fan commented under Fullcourtpass’ viral post.
Eventually, Brown will have a good laugh about the unfortunate on-court incident, but it probably won’t occur instantly.
