Jaylen Brown has a huge role in the 2025-26 NBA season for the Boston Celtics.
With no Jayson Tatum on the floor due to a torn Achilles, Brown pretty much has to be the man at all times.
So far, it hasn’t been great. The Celtics have begun the season 0-3.
That combined with a particular post on X to get fans riled up about a new Jaylen Brown haircut.
One problem: Brown didn’t actually get the haircut.
This post came from NBA Centel, a parody account.
It’s clearly a fake image, but it had about three million views by Sunday night:

The NBA Centel account went viral earlier for a doctored image of Thunder star Chet Holmgren with a different hairstyle.
It’s definitely amusing, if you realize you’re looking at something fake.
The Centel account is set up to look like the real news-making account NBA Central, so it can be tough at first glance.
Be sure to always take a second check to know if what you’re looking at is real or not.
