The Jacksonville Jaguars may be without Travis Hunter this weekend.
That’s what head coach Liam Coen revealed to reporters on Friday as the No. 2 overall pick deals with an injury.
Coen termed it an “upper body injury” and added that it’s just a “precaution” to potentially keep Hunter out of action.
It certainly sounds like it isn’t the worst thing for the Jags and their two-way phenom, but it’s also not ideal.
There have been concerns since Hunter was drafted about how he may or may not be able to handle the two-way workload in the NFL.

Any time he gets even a little dinged up, there’ll be speculation as to whether it had anything to do with his advanced workload.
In reality, football players get hurt all the time, so it doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with the fact that Hunter can play both cornerback and wide receiver.
Even if it did, it’s highly unlikely that Coen would tell anyone that they were worried about the two-way action so early in his career.
Hunter has the potential to be one of the most unique players in NFL history. He was regarded by many as both the best WR and best CB in his draft class.

The Jags traded up from No. 5 to No. 2, giving up two first-round picks and a second-round pick to the Browns to move up those three spots and draft Hunter.
If Hunter can stay healthy and indeed deliver on both sides of the football, he’ll be one of the NFL’s biggest stars, even if he’s doing it in Jacksonville.
For now, Jags fans are just hoping he’s healthy.
