Jadon Sancho’s time at Manchester United looks to be coming to a quiet end as the club works to move on from one of their most expensive signings.
The 25-year-old winger has taken a major step toward reviving his career, by reportedly agreeing to personal terms with Juventus, a move that now depends on how quickly the two clubs can settle on a transfer fee
Sancho, once a star in the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund, was expected to thrive when he arrived in Manchester for £73m [$97m] back in 2021.
Four years later the story has completely changed for Sancho, who has no place at Old Trafford under Ruben Amorim, who has already started rebuilding his squad after a disappointing 16th place finish in the Premier League last season.
Chelsea gave Sancho a temporary lifeline last season, offering him regular minutes through a loan deal.
Despite making 42 appearances, and finishing the season with five goals and eight assists, his influence dipped as the season progressed and he slipped down the pecking order behind Pedro Neto and Noni Madueke.

The Blues triggered a £5m [$6m] exit clause to cancel the buy option and send Sancho back to Old Trafford.
Juventus face final Jadon Sancho transfer hurdle
Juventus are confident they can bring Sancho to Turin as part of their own rebuild.
The club are looking to sell Nico Gonzalez to Saudi Pro League side Al Ahli for a reported £26m [$30m] fee, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
That transfer could free up the funds required to finalise the deal with United for Sancho.
Sancho has made clear he is ready for a new chapter and is willing to lower his wages to make the move happen.
The Red Devils have also significantly reduced their asking price, and are now open to selling Sancho for around €17m [$20m], as per TEAMtalk.
That discount is tied to the final issue which is Sancho’s severance package expected to be around €5m [$6m] depending on the final agreement.
Juventus are prepared to cover part or even all of that and talks with United are progressing.
Sancho’s agent has already visited Turin to help speed things up. The club sees Sancho as a high-upside investment who can grow under less pressure, especially with UEFA Champions League football back on the agenda in Turin.
