Isaiah Likely has become arguably the best TE2 in the NFL, playing behind veteran Mark Andrews in Baltimore but still one of the top weapons for Lamar Jackson.
In 2024, Likely posted 477 yards and six touchdown receptions, continuing his upward season-by-season trend as a go-to tight end for the Ravens. As the 2025 season approaches, the expectation has been that Likely will once again be a key member of Baltimore’s passing attack, potentially eating into Andrews’ snaps even more.
However, during Tuesday’s practice session, Likely was reportedly carted off the field with an apparent lower-leg injury.

Isaiah Likely injury update
With Baltimore’s training camp in full swing, toward the end of Tuesday’s practice, reports came in that Likely was carted off the field and “limped into the facility,” per ESPN’s Jamison Hensley.
The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec added that Likely’s injury came on a one-on-one rep against safety Sanoussi Kane.Â
After practice ended, head coach John Harbaugh told reporters that Likely rolled his ankle and “we’ll know more tomorrow.” Harbaugh also said he expects the tight end to be sidelined “a few weeks.”

Likely is set to get an MRI on the ankle, which will provide further context into his timetable for a return.
“Rolled his ankle, foot area, so he’ll get an MRI tomorrow, see exactly what needs to be done,” Harbaugh said. “It’ll be a few weeks. It’s good that it’s this early in camp.”Â

Isaiah Likely contract
Likely is still on his rookie deal, which expires after the 2025 season and was worth a total of $4.16 million over four years, per Spotrac.
He’s been rumored to be talking about an extension with the Ravens, which would prevent him from hitting the open market at age 26 next offseason.

Ravens TE depth chartÂ
Rank | Player |
1 | Mark Andrews |
2 | Isaiah Likely |
3 | Charlie Kolar |
4 | Zaire Mitchell-Paden |
Andrews, who had 673 yards and 11 touchdowns in his seventh NFL season last year, remains one of the league’s top tight ends and Baltimore’s go-to option in the passing game. However, Likely has been tracking toward making it more of a “1A and 1B” scenario in recent seasons.
Baltimore will often deploy two-tight end packages with Andrews and Likely, so both can be considered starters. However, if Likely were to miss any time due to his injury, that could change.
Should Likely miss Week 1 or any further time, fourth-year tight end Charlie Kolar (131 yards, one touchdown in 2024) and Zaire Mitchell-Paden, a practice squad tight end, could see increased roles to begin the season.
