Is Taylor Swift at the Super Bowl? Updates on if star is watching Travis Kelce in Super Bowl 59

Are you ready for it…again?

To no one’s surprise, the Chiefs are back in the Super Bowl. The Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Andy Reid and Chris Jones-led bunch endured a few bouts of adversity — some self-inflicted, others unintended — en route to the SuperDome.

Yet Kansas City did what is has done for much of the past seven years: win. After downing the Bills in a hotly-contested AFC championship clash, the Chiefs look well-equipped to nab another piece of jewelry for their already gleaming collection.

Kansas City faces a hellish final foe in its season-ending clash. The Eagles are as deep as they come, filled with All-Pro caliber talents at all three facets of the game. But the Chiefs have been here before. And vitally, they have a secret weapon in their grasp.

Taylor Swift’s relationship with Kelce has taken the worlds of sport and pop culture by storm over the past two years. When Kelce has played, more often than not, Swift has watched along, bolstering a fanbase that already ranks as one of the NFL’s most raucous.

Kansas City needs all hands on deck if it hopes to capture a third straight NFL crown. That goes for in the stands — or luxury seats — as well.

With that, The Sporting News fills you in on whether Swift will be in attendance for Super Bowl 59.

Is Taylor Swift at the Super Bowl?

Swift has yet to announce firmly whether she’ll be at Super Bowl 59. But if we use recent history as a guide, there’s a good chance she lands in New Orleans for Sunday’s match.

Swift appeared at each of Kansas City’s two playoff games leading up to the Super Bowl. She’s proven herself an avid Chiefs enthusiast, going great lengths to catch their matches in their entirety. A showing at football’s grandest spectacle would keep in line with Swift’s prior history in the event.

Last year, Swift crossed a slew of time zones to watch Kelce and Kansas City hoist the Lombardi Trophy. Swift trekked from Japan to Las Vegas, striding into the Allegiant Stadium luxury box just in time to watch Kelce and Co. take on the 49ers.

Her appearance was a rousing success; the Chiefs downed the Niners in overtime as Kelce secured his third championship win.

She shouldn’t have to worry about too much travel this time around. Swift has been in the United States for much of the past few months, recently making an appearance at the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on Feb. 2.

Sunday’s match will be significant for Swift for a number of reasons. Not only will she have a vested interest in watching Kelce perform. But, as a Pennsylvania native, Swift and her family grew up watching the Birds. Given Kelce’s older brother Jason’s affiliation with the organization, Super Bowl 59 could be something of a family reunion for the Swift and Kelce clans.
