Is Kyler Murray playing today?

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that there’s no official injury designation for Murray and that he will start at QB for the Cardinals against the Saints.

It sounds like the Cardinals are being honest and following league procedures by adding Murray to the report, but there isn’t anything more to it than that.

An illness could impact Murray’s play a bit. He’s a mobile QB who likes to scramble and run. If he’s feeling a bit under the weather, maybe that is limited a tad.

Who is the Arizona Cardinals’ backup QB?

The Arizona Cardinals have a new backup quarterback for 2025: Jacoby Brissett.

Brissett has played for the Patriots, Colts, Dolphins, Browns and Commanders.

He’d certainly be ready to step in at a moment’s notice if Murray has to leave the field.

The Cardinals would certainly prefer for Kyler to be his usual self.
