The Chicago Bears are on a roll after winning four straight games and will look to extend that streak to five in Week 8 against the Baltimore Ravens, but there is a chance running back D’Andre Swift won’t play.
That’s because Swift has drawn a questionable tag before the game. Swift was first added to the injury report with a groin issue last week and was back on the list this week.
He turned in a pair of limited practices on Thursday and Friday after sitting out on Wednesday, so he entered the weekend with at least some momentum in terms of having a shot to play.
Here’s what we know on Sunday morning about Swift’s Week 8 status.
Is D’Andre Swift playing today?

END OF UPDATE
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that Swift is indeed expected to play in Week 8 against the Ravens.
“Bears RB D’Andre Swift (groin) is listed as questionable and expected to play on Sunday, source said,” Rapoport reported.
Adding another reason for optimism to that, Swift, who was also questionable last week, followed the same exact path before playing after he closed out the week with two limited practices.
D’Andre Swift start or sit advice
Swift ranks as RB12 overall, which makes him a high-end RB2 play entering Week 8, but Swift has been a locked-in RB1 the past two weeks after posting 46.3 fantasy points in that span, ranking as RB6 overall.
Now consider the fact that the Ravens are giving up the third-most fantasy points per game to running backs and there’s even more reason to want Swift in your fantasy football lineups this week.
Just in case, rookie Kyle Monangai would get the start and bulk of the touches if Swift doesn’t play. He’d be a solid RB2 start in that scenario.
Verdict: Start
