Chris Olave has been very durable for the New Orleans Saints this season, as the star wide receiver has yet to miss a game over the Saints’ first 12.
However, Olave’s status has been threatened the past few weeks due to a back injury he suffered in practice.
He was listed as questionable last week after popping up in the injury report with the issue during the week, and he’s once again questionable in Week 14 after turning in two limited practices following no participation on Wednesday.
Ahead of the Saints’ Week 14 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, here’s what we know about Olave’s chances of playing on Sunday.
Is Chris Olave playing today?
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Olave is indeed expected to suit up against the Buccaneers on Sunday.
“Saints WR Chris Olave, listed as questionable for Sunday due to a back injury, is expected to play vs. the Buccaneers, per source,” Schefter reported.
In case you’re worried about a limited workload after drawing the questionable tag, Olave played his full complement of snaps last week in the same situation, so no worries there.
Chris Olave fantasy advice for Week 14
Despite an awful quarterback situation in 2025, Olave has remained productive, with the Saints wideout ranking as WR11 overall in fantasy points per game this season, which makes him a high-end WR2 and every-week starting option.
Adding to that, Olave draws a matchup against a Tampa Bay defense ceding the 10th-most fantasy points per game to wide receivers this season.
There’s nothing to debate here: Olave is a locked-in starter for Week 14.
Verdict: Start
