Bronny James is back in action this week as the NBA Summer League gets underway.

The 55th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft and the son of LeBron James appeared in appeared in 27 games for the Lakers last season. While he is always in the spotlight given his famous father, Los Angeles is hoping he can take big strides this summer to become more than a rotational piece.

Bronny will round out a Summer League roster that includes Dalton Knecht and Julian Reese. Los Angeles will play three games in San Francisco before heading to Las Vegas.

Is Bronny James playing in Summer League?

Yes, the Lakers announced their Summer League roster on July 2, and it includes Bronny James.

LA will begin its Summer League season at the California Classic before going to the NBA 2K26 Summer League in Las Vegas.

James could play at least eight games in Summer League, though it’s unclear if the Lakers plan to play him in each contest.
