Inside the Eagles’ Super Bowl ring design: How much it cost, hidden wings & more details about 2025 rings

Winning the Super Bowl is every NFL team’s goal when the season starts, but only one will achieve the honor each year. A Super Bowl win is huge for an organization, and the players are forever etched into that team’s history as well as the NFL’s as a whole.

To help symbolize the Super Bowl winners’ accomplishments, they receive a Super Bowl ring. They have increased in size over the years and have become more elaborate, adorned with a multitude of gemstones. Super Bowl ring designs have also become more advanced, with notable details about the team’s win included in the design to capture the lore of the accomplishment.

The Eagles beat the Chiefs in the 2025 Super Bowl. It was the second Super Bowl win in franchise history, following the 2018 victory over the Patriots. Philadelphia recently debuted its 2025 Super Bowl rings, and the chosen design took social media by storm.

Here is a deeper look at the Eagles’ 2025 Super Bowl rings.

Two Lombardi Trophies

If you look at the ring from above, you will see that the ring face is the Eagles’ primary green team color. It is bordered by “World Champions” written in 40 diamonds specifically. They chose that number to represent the number of points that Philadelphia scored in victory.

On top of the ring face is the Eagles logo, sitting atop two Lombardi trophies, representing the two trophies the team has won in its history.

The team also points out that the “1 carat of marquise-shaped diamonds in the trophies highlight both the Eagles’ No. 1 total defense and their rushing offense that set an NFL record for rushing yards.”

Hidden details on the side

There is a button made up of five diamonds on the front of the ring. Each diamond represents the five players who scored for the Eagles in the Super Bowl. When the button is pressed, wings emerge from the ring and reveal a hidden message, “You can’t be great without the greatness of others.”

One side of the ring features the player’s last name and number. Above the name, you can see the top of the ring encircled by 18 green stones. These represent the Eagles’ record-tying 18 combined wins from the regular season and the playoffs.

The other side of the ring features the team name, the Super Bowl logo and the final score of the game. The Super Bowl logo itself is made up of 10 diamonds, with each one representing one of the wins in the franchise-record 10-game win streak from the regular season.

Inside the ring

This portion of the ring won’t be visible unless the player takes their ring off. On the inside, there is a Brazilian flag, which pays tribute to the team’s season-opening victory in Sao Paolo, Brazil. Below the flag is head coach Nick Sirianni’s mantra of “tough, detailed, together.”

Below Sirianni’s values are the final scores from each of Philadelphia’s playoff games. At the very bottom is the number 145, which represents the team’s NFL record of points scored during a playoff run.

Eagles Super Bowl ring cost

We don’t know official figures for the cost of the rings, but they typically fall between $30,000 and $50,000. The players themselves don’t have to pay that full cost. The rings aren’t free, though. The players are responsible for the taxes on the rings, and that cost is deducted from their bi-weekly paychecks. In 2020, Chiefs players had to pay $11,000 each to cover the taxes of their rings.

Eagles Super Bowl wins

The Eagles have won two Super Bowls in team history.

Year Matchup Score
2018 Eagles vs. Patriots 41-33
2025 Eagles vs. Chiefs 40-22

Eagles vs. Patriots

This was the birth of the Philly special. Nick Foles had taken over for Carson Wentz, who got injured and only played in 13 games that season. The 13-3 Eagles duked it out with the 13-3 Patriots. It felt like it was just going to be another Super Bowl win for Tom Brady and New England. Philadelphia got on the board first with a field goal, but New England answered right back. The Eagles were tied or led the entire game until a fourth-quarter touchdown from Rob Gronkowski put the Patriots up one with 9:22 left.

Zach Ertz came down with an 11-yard touchdown with 2:21 left for the Eagles to reclaim the lead, and then Jake Elliott knocked through the game-sealing 46-yard field goal with a little over a minute to go.

Eagles vs. Chiefs

Unlike the impromptu Super Bowl run in 2018, the Eagles largely dominated the 2024-2025 season. Philadelphia signed running back Saquon Barkley in free agency, and he nearly set the single-season rushing record. He likely only didn’t because the Eagles wanted to save him for the playoffs. It worked as he carried them to the Super Bowl.

Barkley didn’t score in the Super Bowl, but his presence alone was something the Chiefs’ defense had to account for. It didn’t take long for Philadelphia to convert a tush push in the Super Bowl. The Eagles scored the opening points with 6:15 to go in the first quarter. From there, Philadelphia executed a near perfect game plan. The Eagles were never behind, and even got out to a 34-0 lead before eventually winning 40-22.
