How to watch Cardinals games without cable: Full TV schedule, streams for 2024 Opening Day & more

Regardless of where the Cardinals end up in the standings, their passionate fanbase will always root for their team. Last season, St. Louis was at the bottom of the NL Central. This year, there is hope for a change.

The team lost outfielder Tyler O’Neill and Adam Wainwright retired, but the Cardinals did sign Sonny Gray, Lance Lynn, Kyle Gibson, and Andrew Kittredge.

With Willson Contreras behind the plate and the continuing threat of Paul Goldschmidt and Nolan Arenado at the corners, the Cardinals still have pieces to be considered a threat. Betting odds have the Cardinals contending, in the middle of the pack.

The team looks to exceed expectations in 2024 thanks to the leadership of second-year manager Oliver Marmol and former catcher Yadier Molina as a front office special assistant.

Here’s a complete guide to watching the Cardinals this season without cable:

How to watch Cardinals games without cable

For those without cable, there are several options to stream Cardinals games this year:

If you’re in-market, Fubo carries Bally Sports Midwest, the Cardinals’ RSN, but blackout restrictions apply. If you are within the market for Bally Sports Midwest, you can watch Cardinals baseball via Fubo. Those out of market will not be able to watch Cardinals games on the streaming service, since Fubo will not carry the out-of-market RSN.

Inside market, DirecTV Stream also carries Bally Sports Midwest, as well as all of the networks that broadcast games nationally: Fox, ESPN, MLB Network, FS1 and MLB Network. These are all part of the service’s Choice package for $108.99 monthly.

If you live outside the Cardinals’ TV market, you can watch games via MLB.tv.  For $149.99 for the season or $29.99 per month, you can catch every game from every team outside your local market. You can also pick a single-team option for $129.99 for the season. Again, this is only if you are outside the Cardinals’ TV market: If you are inside the Cardinals’ market, games will be blacked out. Games will also be blacked out if you live outside the Cardinals’ market, but inside the market of teams the Cardinals are visiting.

Fubo is also carrying MLB.tv, for $29.99 per month on top of the Fubo subscription.

For nationally televised games, there are a few options, with some exceptions: Fubo, SlingTV, and DirecTV Stream all carry ESPN, MLB Network and FS1. YoutubeTV and Hulu + Live TV carry ESPN and FS1, but they do not carry MLB Network in 2024.

You can check if games are blacked out in your area using MLB’s blackout tool.
