How to buy Wyndham Championship 2025 tickets: Cheapest prices, dates, course map for PGA event

A staple of the PGA Tour calendar and a yearly tradition in Greensboro, South Carolina since 1938, the Wyndham Championship serves as the final tournament before the FedExCup Playoffs. Held at Sedgefield Country Club, it’s one of the most beautiful and well-regarded weekends of the year for professional golf.

This tournament has plenty of history behind it. At 52 years old, Sam Snead won the event for the eighth time in 1965, setting PGA Tour records for most wins at an event and oldest winner of an event (both records still stand). Davis Love III won the event in three different decades (’92, ’06, ’15), and he’s the oldest to win it in the senior tour era. Kevin Kisner won in 2021, prevailing out of a six-person playoff.

Charlie Sifford competed in the tournament in 1961 — then called the Greater Greensboro Open — and he became the first African American permitted to play in a PGA-sponsored event in the South. Sifford led after the first round, and finished tied for fourth.

The tournament has been called the Wyndham Championship since 2007, but many golfers and golf fans just refer to it as the Wyndham. It’s one of the most well-respected and highly-anticipated events on the PGA Tour, a notion reinforced by the yearly attendance numbers. The event regularly draws between 80,000 and 100,000 total fans, sometimes even bringing in as many as 30,000 in one round.
