The New York Giants have been without kicker Graham Gano for three games now after he was placed on injured reserve ahead of the Week 4 game due to a groin injury.
In the meantime, the Giants signed veteran Younghoe Koo to the practice squad but decided to go with the inexperienced Jude McAtamney instead.
Unfortunately for the Giants, the team has been limited with its field goal range because of McAtamney, something that wasn’t normally an issue with Gano.
So, when can we expect Gano to come back? Here’s what we know.
How long is Graham Gano out?
With Gano sidelined for the Week 6 game against the Philadelphia Eagles, he has now missed three games and the minimum-required stay on injured reserve is four games.
So, Gano will be eligible to return in Week 8, although it hasn’t been confirmed that he will be ready when eligible.
In Gano’s absence, McAtamney made both field goal attempts over his first two games, but neither one has been for 40 or more yards.
The Irish kicker was 3-for-3 on extra points going into Thursday night, but he missed his first point after versus Philly.
It’ll be interesting to see if the Giants give Koo a look next week.
