Heat acquire Trae Young in latest trade proposal

Trae Young has found little team success as a Hawk outside of his lone run to the ECF in 2021.

It may be time for Trae to go, to benefit both him and Atlanta, as he could be a huge difference-maker for one specific trade destination.

What could a Trae to Miami deal look like?

A trade proposal by Bleacher Report had the following players traded to Atlanta for Young:

Heat Receive: Trae Young

Hawks Receive: Terry Rozier, Duncan Robinson, Jamie Jaquez, Nikola Jovic, Pelle Larsson, 2025 1st-rd pick and 2030 1st-rd pick

This is a huge haul for just one player, but Trae can be that level of a difference-maker to be worth a big haul.

The Heat have a lot of depth that consists of quality role players, so they have some assets they can package together to create a trade like this.

For Atlanta, they would potentially reroute some of these players they get in the deal, but add quality young players with raw potential (Jamie Jaquez and Nikola Jovic).

A Trae/Bam Adebayo duo would be one of the better guard/center duos in the league that can make some noise with the roster shaping out around them.

Spoelstra is one of the greatest coaches of this generation, and for Trae to have the ability to be coached by that type of basketball mind could be huge for his game.

There would be some concern defensively with a backcourt of Young and Herro, but boy would that backcourt have some elite shotmakers.

Miami is bound to make a move with the excess amount of quality players they have, so dumping some along with a couple of picks for one of the better guards in the league could be intriguing.
