Harry Kane reveals the feeling of winning first career title following Bundesliga triumph

It was a great weekend for Harry Kane as his trophy curse came to an end with Bayern Munich reclaiming the Bundesliga title.

The Bavarians were handed the Bundesliga shield following their 2-0 win over Borussia Monchengladbach. Interestingly, it was Kane, who handed the lead to the hosts before Michael Olise doubled the lead with a late goal.

It was a momentous occasion for the 31-year-old as he finally got his hands on his first career title. Kane was seen participating in the traditional beer shower celebrations at the Allianz Arena.

Kane must be relieved to finally shake the monkey off his back. It has always been a narrative around him till now. But with him winning his first title, he has put an end to all these discussions.

After the game, speaking to the Cleats Club, Kane opened up on the feeling of winning his first title. He shared how it is different from winning individual award and also vows to keep testing him in the coming seasons.

“I have to say that winning the title with the team feels better than all individual trophies I’ve won. I need to let it all sink in. But I won’t change as a player because of my first title. I want to continue testing my limits, getting better, and achieving even more,” Kane revealed.

Kane shared his winning moment with his good friend and teammate, Eric Dier

It was indeed a great moment for Kane and Eric Dier as they, together, came to Bayern from Tottenham and won the Bundesliga. The English duo were elated after they managed to secure their first career title together.

Kane points out how it was special for him to win the title with his dear friend Dier. He also shared how the duo have had similar experiences in the past.

“Eric came to me and said it was an even better feeling than anyone had described. I feel the same. Eric and I have had similar experiences. We were often very close. We always had to keep working hard and pushing. The fact that we’re both celebrating the title now at Bayern shows our big ambition to win trophies.”

The English skipper had a big hand in helping Bayern reclaim their league crown this season after finishing third in the last campaign. With 25 goals, he is leading the Bundesliga goalscorers’ charts.

Interestingly, this is the sixth time in his career that he has netted 25 league goals in a single season.
