The Vegas Golden Knights (49-22-10) have punched their ticket to the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the third straight year and seventh time in eight seasons since entering the NHL as an expansion franchise in 2017-18.
After capturing the Stanley Cup in 2023, the Golden Knights saw their title defense cut short with a first-round exit last postseason.
Now, with a renewed sense of purpose and 107 points under their belt, Vegas heads into the playoffs determined to make amends, and they’ll have home-ice advantage through at least the first two rounds to help them do it.
They’ll kick off their title defense on Sunday, April 20, at T-Mobile Arena, where they’ll host either the Minnesota Wild, who wrapped up the regular season with 95 points, or another potential lower-seeded opponent.
The Golden Knights and Wild have met once before in the playoffs, with Vegas edging out a tight seven-game series back in the 2021 first round.

D’Uva, the longtime radio voice of the Vegas Golden Knights since their inception season in 2017, found his calling behind the mic during his high school years and while studying at Syracuse University. He later transferred to Fordham University’s Rose Hill campus in 2006, where he majored in communication and media studies.
