Heliot Ramos pulled off a feat rarely seen on a baseball field.
In the first inning Sunday in Toronto, the San Francisco Giants’ star outfielder hit the ball twice on one swing.
Seriously.
The ball first made contact a bit up the handle, deflected slightly toward the barrel, then lined out toward the middle of the field.
With a runner on second, the liner was placed just well enough to float through the infield and roll into center for an RBI single.

There’s nothing in the rules against this.
It would be pretty much impossible to do intentionally, though.
In this case, the baseball gods were smiling down on Ramos, and he had a run-scoring hit to show for it.
