The New York Giants just did something that hasn’t been done in their 100 years as a franchise.
Following the embarrassing 34-7 defeat against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, the Giants were on the losing end of a game for the 10th consecutive game this season.
The Giants have never lost 10 consecutive games in a season during their 100 years as a franchise.
Until the 2024 Giants.
The product on the field has been abhorrent to the point where fans have been renting planes to fly messages over MetLife Stadium before games urging John Mara to take action.
Entering the third year of the current regime with general manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll, the Giants have regressed every season.
After starting their first season together in 2022 as a playoff team, reaching the NFC Divisional round, the Giants went 6-11 to secure the No. 6 overall pick.
Things then hit rock bottom during the 2024 campaign when they dramatically parted ways with quarterback Daniel Jones halfway through the season.
While Mara has stated early in the season that they want to avoid the cycle of changing regimes every two or three years, the current product they have put on the field is embarrassing, and there’s little argument for keeping them around.
