Chelsea are set for a big summer transfer window with a number of incomings and outgoings certain to take place at the club.
While the fans are excited about who could potentially join the club, it is also important to keep an eye out for those who may leave, as the Blues need to sell some players to raise funds for their acquisitions.
One of the stars who is guaranteed to leave the club is Christopher Nkunku. Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg reports via X that the decision has already been made for Nkunku to exit Stamford Bridge on a permanent basis at the end of the season.
Reportedly, Bayern are monitoring the attacker’s current situation and face competition from other top sides for his signature.
It is explained that the German Bundesliga champions are locked in discussions with the player’s camp as they continue to assess his future.
Despite being a good player, Nkunku has found game time hard to come by at Stamford Bridge due to the resurgence of Cole Palmer.

Since Palmer is the first-choice number 10 at Chelsea, Nkunku plays out of position as either a striker or a winger. The fact that Bayern Munich are interested in Nkunku is a testament to the player’s quality.
The German side were previously interested in the Chelsea star in January this year and even agreed on personal terms with him, but he ended up staying in West London.
Since Bayern Munich had previously agreed on personal terms with Nkunku, that should not be a problem in the deal. The only question that remains to be answered is how much of a transfer fee Chelsea demands for the Frenchman.
It’s been claimed that Chelsea want £35m to sell Christopher Nkunku this summer, which would be a significant loss on the £52m they paid to sign him from RB Leipzig in the 2023 summer transfer window.
