The last Manchester Derby ended in an uneventful goalless draw on Sunday, April 6, at Old Trafford.
The game portrayed the archrivals’ struggles to open their scoring while errors on both sides prevented a satisfying end for either.
Manchester City had five shots on target against Manchester United, who managed two. Despite the unfavorable result, players from both clubs greeted one another with cordial hugs and handshakes after the final whistle.
Manchester Derby, which is one of the most historically renowned derbies in the world, has always been a heated and passionate affair.
However, yesterday’s match lacked enthusiasm, appearing to be like any other forgettable Premier League fixture.
While the match invited criticism against both United and City with regards to their performance, pundits Gary Neville and Roy Keane also disapproved of the players’ friendly conduct after the match.

What did Gary Neville and Roy Keane said?
Gary Neville and Roy Keane, who both go down in history as Man United legends, disagreed with what went down between players at Old Trafford following the 0-0 scoreline.
Both pundits have their respective experiences of Manchester Derbies and claimed that the recent display was not in accordance with the classical rivalry.
“I think the congratulations and love-in that I’m watching says both teams are happy with a 0-0. The best Man City and Man United teams would be very disappointed with the way they’ve approached the end of that game. It looks like it’s Sunday afternoon and they’re going to go for a roast dinner together now,” Neville said on Sky Sports (via Reuters).
“They get interviewed after as if a draw isn’t too bad,” Keane said. “A draw doesn’t get you anywhere fast. This is not enough, this isn’t good enough,” Keane added.
Following the draw on Sunday, Man City continue to stand fifth on the Premier League table with 52 points in 31 matches. Man U, meanwhile, are 13th with 38 points after the same number of games.
