Gabriel Magalhaes says he never received a formal offer from Saudi Arabia and insists he remains fully committed to Arsenal as he targets a breakthrough season under Mikel Arteta.
The Brazilian defender signed a new contract last month that runs until 2029, ending speculation over his future amid reported interest from Saudi Pro League clubs.
Speaking during the club’s pre-season tour of Asia, the 27-year-old dismissed the talk of a potential move and stressed his focus remains on helping Arsenal end their five-year wait for silverware.
“I didn’t hear about anything personally, I didn’t receive offers,” Gabriel said.
“A lot of people like to say things on the internet. I am focused on Arsenal. That is why I signed the contract that I signed. I’ve been at the club for five years now and I’ve seen how much the club has grown.”
With significant investment already made in the summer window, including the signings of Martin Zubimendi, Noni Madueke, Christian Norgaard and Kepa Arrizabalaga, there is renewed optimism heading into the new season.

Mikel Arteta’s remain in talks to bring in Sporting striker Viktor Gyokeres and a deal for Cristhian Mosquera has been finalised as the Gunners boss looks to strengthen further.
Gabriel said he believes this season could be the one where the club finally makes the leap.
“I am here to win big titles and I do believe that this season will be different,” he added.
“We have let a couple of titles slip through our fingers recently. We almost won, but I think this year, things will be different. I have a lot of faith in that.”
The former Lille defender also echoed his manager’s message about ambition:
“I only have one thing to say, and Mikel says it: we are ready to reach new heights this season.”
Gabriel missed the final weeks of last season with a hamstring injury that required surgery, but he expects to be ready for the Premier League opener against Manchester United at Old Trafford on 17 August.
“I am improving a lot. I already feel really good. I have been training hard with the group and I’m ready to hit the ground running.
Asked about Arsenal’s interest in Gyokeres, Gabriel was complimentary but cautious:
“He’s a great player and had a fantastic season at Sporting. It was a big challenge playing against him. But I don’t think I should talk about that right now.”
