Nottingham Forest are possibly going through an internal crisis with the owner, Evangelos Marinakis having some differences with current manager Nuno Espirito Santo with talks of moving on from the Portuguese tactician.
It all started last season after Forest’s 2-2 draw against Leicester City where Marinakis stormed down the pitch and was involved in a heated exchange with the Forest manager mainly due to frustrating result.
However, things have only gone south from there with Santo clearly stating that he isn’t happy with the squad and the work done by Forest in the transfer window.
The statement may have irked Marinakis and therefore according to reports via Matteo Moretto, Nottingham Forest are considering sacking their Portuguese coach due to internal conflicts and transfer dealings.
Within a few hours, Moretto also revealed Forest are in the market for a manager and they are considering multiple options including former Tottenham Hotspur tactician Ange Postecoglou.
The Australian manager guided Spurs to the Europa League crown last season beating Manchester United in the final but was harshly sacked by the North London club following team’s poor performances in the Premier League.

A return to the Premier League will be a big opportunity for Postecoglou to prove his doubters wrong and Forest could be the perfect man to lead this dynamic team if they decided to part ways from Santo.
What would Nuno Espirito Santo’s sacking mean for Nottingham Forest?
Santo deserves full credit for developing Forest into this exceptional team in the English top flight as they were in Champions League positions for the majority of the last season until they fell off slightly.
However, Santo has developed a mid-table Premier League team to fight for European spots whilst instilling an attractive brand of football for the fans.
So, sacking him after just a single game in the Premier League 2025/26 campaign will not only shake their base foundation but also create unnecessary chaos at an otherwise settled club.
While moving for Postecoglou could be a step in the right direction but even the Australian coach will look to instill his own philosophy and gameplay into this team, which will take time hence disrupting a crucial campaign for Forest where they are featuring in Europa League.
Moreover, Marinakis will also consider Postecoglou’s struggles with Spurs in the league as most of it was due to injuries and with him prioritizing the Europa League but finishing 17th is no excuse.
