Former Bucks point guard linked to multiple Western Conference teams

The Milwaukee Bucks have already had a busy offseason, and they’re not done yet.

The team will continue filling out its roster for next season after shocking the NBA on Tuesday by waiving Damian Lillard to sign Myles Turner to a four-year, $107 million contract.

The Bucks were already able to re-sign several key rotation pieces this offseason, including Bobby Portis, Taurean Prince, Kevin Porter Jr. and Gary Trent Jr. Now, they’re expected to explore a new agreement with Ryan Rollins.

However, the team could face competition for the 23-year-old, with several suitors expected to reach out to him in free agency. According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, Rollins has drawn interest from the Phoenix Suns, San Antonio Spurs, Portland Trail Blazers and Los Angeles Lakers.

The Bucks initially tendered a qualifying offer to the Toledo product but later rescinded it to create additional cap space after the Turner signing. Despite that, the Bucks still hold Early Bird Rights on Rollins and reportedly hope to bring him back.

Still, growing interest in Rollins on the open market could complicate a potential reunion.

The former second-round pick is coming off a career-best year in 2024-25, during which he averaged 6.2 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists across 14.6 minutes per game in 56 regular-season outings.

He stepped into an expanded role late in the season after Lillard was sidelined due to a deep vein thrombosis in his right calf. Rollins started in 11 of the Bucks’ last 14 regular-season games but missed the season finale. During that 13-game span, he averaged 10.8 points, 3.9 assists, 3.1 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game while shooting 52.5 percent from the field and 47.8 percent from beyond the arc.
