The summer transfer window has been turning out of a real struggle for Bayern Munich.
Neither have the German champions managed to secure their priority signings nor have they been able to sell their surplus players this summer.
However, one player who moved out of Bavaria was Mathys Tel, who was out on loan at Tottenham Hotspur last season before making his move permanent this summer.
The 20-year-old French forward signed a six-year contract with Spurs after impressing the Tottenham team management during his short loan stint.
He initially joined Spurs in the winter window this year on loan before Spurs sealed the deal by paying £30m ($40m) after Bayern lowered their asking fee for the Frenchman.
Tel became the second signing of the summer for Spurs, following the signing of Kevin Danso.

The 20-year-old recently revealed that he spoke to former teammate Harry Kane before finalising his move to North London.
“Yes, I spoke to him [Harry Kane] beforehand; he told me, ‘If you need anything, send me a text, give me a call,” Tel told Sky Sports.
“I spoke to him; he’s a top guy. [Now it’s time for a] new challenge, I’m ready for my team, the club, and also the fans.”
Tel played with Kane for a season and a half at Bayern, and he was probably the right guy to seek suggestions before making a Premier League switch.
How did Tel fare for Spurs during his loan stint?
Tel was loaned out to Spurs last season as he was struggling with consistent gametime in Bavaria.
His move to North London was a fruitful one as he got the taste of the Premier League and also made some valuable contribution for Spurs.
The France U21 international featured in 20 matches, netting three goals and providing two assists, all while playing on the left flank.
He was also a part of the Tottenham team that went on to win the Europa League, beating Manchester United in the final.
Tel never really managed to cement his spot in Bayern’s starting eleven, but he will hope to do better at Tottenham.
The youngster will look to impress new manager Thomas Frank in the preseason itself.
Tottenham are scheduled to lock horns against Wycombe, Luton Town, Arsenal, Newcastle United, and Bayern before going up against PSG in the UEFA Super Cup.
