Former top-10 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft Cam Reddish is now a free agent. It was recently announced that Reddish parted ways with BC Siauliai, his previous team in Lithuania due to personal reasons. This makes Reddish now available to sign with any other team.
In nine Lithaunian Basketball League (LKL) games, Reddish averaged 14.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game. He strongest showing came against Rytas Vilnius, scoring 27 points to go along with nine rebounds.
Reddish, who spent six seasons in the NBA, played for four different teams. He was originally selected by the Atlanta Hawks and later traded to the New York Knicks. Reddish was also traded to the Portland Trail Blazers for Josh Hart, before eventually finding his way to Los Angeles.
As a member of the Lakers, Reddish also would have been part of a trade that sent him and Dalton Knecht to the Charlotte Hornets for Mark Williams, but the deal was nullified due to Mark Williams’ failed physical.
In his time in the NBA, the former Duke Blue Devil averaged 8.5 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists. At 26-years-old, Reddish will have plenty of chances to make it back into the NBA, however there is a slim chance that his next NBA contract will be guaranteed.
If Reddish returns to play in the United States, he’ll likely have to play his way through the G-League. Or, Reddish could sign with a team on a 10-day contract beginning Jan 5.
