Former NFL star Cam Newton had everyone talking at the BET Awards on Monday night.
The 2015 MVP is known for his wild fashion choices, and he clearly isn’t breaking form in retirement.
Before the BET Awards kicked off, the former Carolina Panthers quarterback walked the red carpet wearing a metallic silver, sleeveless floral vest with matching pants that barely hit his ankles.
He accessorized the look with a wide-brimmed hat, olive-green loafers, and a coordinating neckerchief and pocket square.

Several people commented on the NFL standout’s fit, and they didn’t have the nicest things to say about it.
One person posted about the look on X, writing, “Cam Newton out here wearing luxury Christmas wrap.”
Another person also commented on the former Panthers quarterback’s look on X, writing, “Cam Newton up there looking like a reupholstered loveseat.”
A third person bashed the look, writing on X, “Not Cam Newton popping up looking like my grandmas couch.”
Newton was even roasted by some of the attendees, including Druski and Kai Cenat, who were seen laughing hysterically at the outfit during the livestream.
Cenat and Druski got a close-up look at the fit when Newton took the stage with sports commentator Ashley Nicole Mass to announce that they would be hosting a new show for BET.
The show, “106 and Sports” will be a spin-off of the network’s famous music video show, “106 & Park.”
