The Dallas Cowboys received unfortunate news on Friday when star linebacker Micah Parsons officially requested a trade. Parsons has been wreaking havoc since entering the league, but now it looks like he’ll be doing it elsewhere.
“Still I stayed quiet but again after repeated shots at myself and all the narratives I have made a tough decision I no longer want to play for the Dallas Cowboys. My trade request has been submitted to Stephen Jones personally,” Parsons posted.
According to reports, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones attempted to offer Parsons a nine-figure deal—without involving his agent.
“The fact that Jerry Jones and the Cowboys believe they can negotiate a 9-figure extension with Micah Parsons without involving his agent says everything about the current state of the franchise. This entire situation is laughable from the Dallas side. It could’ve — and should’ve — been avoided. But instead, the Cowboys’ operated with pure arrogance, foolishness and stubbornness,” NFL insider Jordan Schultz posted.
Parsons’ agent, David Mulugheta, currently represents several players in the NFL—three of whom are on the Atlanta Falcons, making them an intriguing team to watch as this situation unfolds.
“Micah Parsons agent is also Jessie Bates, AJ Terrell, and Kyle Pitts agent,” BroTalk of the Reporting Eligible Podcast wrote.

Although the Falcons are close to the salary cap limit, BroTalk believes a deal is still financially viable.
“The Falcons can absolutely pay Micah Parsons what he wants. His deal would not take effect until 2026. You would still have Pearce & Walker on their rookie deals before Parsons contract is up. Now I haven’t dived into the numbers to look at how everyone else would get their deals but it can still happen,” BroTalk posted.
Agents often play a major role in influencing where a player lands. With Mulugheta already representing Atlanta’s top safety and cornerback, there’s a real chance he could help bring in one of the league’s most dominant pass rushers. Adding Parsons alongside Jalon Walker and James Pearce Jr. on the edge would create a terrifying defensive trio.
Only time will tell if Bates, Pitts, and Terrell go all-in on recruiting Parsons to Atlanta.
