Ex-PSG star breaks silence on Luis Enrique’s side Champions League success after stadium visit

PSG finally reached the summit of European football in 2024/25 to go along with the other three trophies.

The club secured Ligue 1, lifted the Coupe de France, won the Trophee des Champions and most importantly delivered their first ever UEFA Champions League trophy.

Luis Enrique’s men carved history along the way; they beat Inter Milan 5-0 in Munich, the largest margin recorded in a Champions League final.

Earlier, seven different players scored in a seven nil playoff win over Brest which set another tournament milestone.

PSG also produced thirty eight goals through the campaign, their highest total in Europe.

No French side had claimed a continental treble since Marseille in 1993 and the club’s win ended more than 30 years of wait.

That long awaited victory had one notable former Parisian in attendance watching from the stands.

What Kingsley Coman said about PSG UCL win?

Kingsley Coman, who became PSG’s youngest debutant in 2013 before leaving for Juventus, revealed his emotions in an interview with Telefoot [via Canal supporters]

“It was good news for Paris. I was at the stadium. I saw them win, I applauded them. I shouted a little secretly. I was happy for them,” he said.

“I have very, very close friends and Presnel, who is like a brother. It was good for the club and like that, when I return to Paris, I think people will be a little less angry with me. Don’t forget? That’s what surprised me. They still told me, don’t forget. You won at my place too, that’s good, we’re even (laughs!),”

Coman had scored Bayern Munich’s decisive goal against PSG in the 2020 Champions League final.

Watching Paris finally lift the trophy in 2025, the winger framed the victory as both closure and redemption for his training club.
