Everton keen on January transfer for second Man City outcast

The move to Everton has seemed to revive Jack Grealish’s career, with the Manchester City loanee playing some of his best football.

Grealish secured his first Everton goal to win their match against Crystal Palace, and he’s also assisted goals on four occasions in the Premier League.

Everton are sitting eighth in the league, with 11 points from seven matches, after David Moyes made summer improvements.

Moyes is exploring multiple transfers in the January window, with a Man City midfielder high on his priority list.

Which Man City outcast does Moyes want?

According to Football Insider, Everton are weighing up a move for City’s Kalvin Phillips.

Phillips has played in one match this season, which was in the Carabao Cup, and the England midfielder is not in Pep Guardiola’s plans for the future.

Everton are keen on a central midfielder, and Phillips has made their shortlist, with a loan move being explored for the Englishman.

Phillips was one of Leeds United’s best players during his time with the club, but his move to City has been less than impressive, in part due to injuries.

Everton have already brought out the best in new signings Grealish and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who have developed a great relationship in Everton’s attack.

A move to Everton could help Phillips get back to his best, especially with the World Cup on the horizon.
