Erik ten Hag plotting a Manchester United double swoop

Manchester United are willing to make wholesale changes in the upcoming summer transfer window. The Red Devils are reportedly open to hearing offers for all of their players.

Ruben Amorim is keen to improve the results after a disastrous campaign for United. While they are working on securing their transfer targets, they will also look to offload multiple players.

As per reports via German outlet Kicker, former United manager Erik ten Hag, who has joined Bayer Leverkusen, is interested in signing Antony and Alejandro Garnacho.

The Dutchman recently joined Bayer Leverkusen as their head coach, replacing Xabi Alonso, who has left for Real Madrid. This is also Ten Hag’s first club since he got sacked by United.

Leverkusen are on the verge of losing a few players this summer with Jonathan Tah already joining Bayern Munich on a free transfer while Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz edging closer to Liverpool.

So while, Ten Hag need players to implement his style of play, the Bundesliga outfit currently have overfilled coffers from all the sales.

Manchester United are open to selling the duo winger

Antony went on loan to Real Betis in the second half of the season and proved why United paid the big bucks for him. The Brazilian was outstanding as he scored some exceptional goals and guided the Spanish outfit to the Conference League final.

United reportedly have slapped a £40m price tag on him this summer and he could be a key signing for Leverkusen. Ten Hag has worked with him multiple times and could be the man to bring out his best.

Similarly, Alejandro Garnacho may also leave Old Trafford especially after his fall out with Amorim, who has allegedly told him to ‘pray’ that he finds a new club.

The exchange between the two happened after the Argentine was benched for the Europa League final against Tottenham. Later, Garnacho was dropped from United’s squad for the final league game against Aston Villa.

He was reportedly wanted by Napoli in January and now the likes of Chelsea and Aston Villa are also monitoring situation. So Leverkusen may have to fend off competition to secure his signature.
