Chelsea bagged an eye-catching 2-0 win over Brazilian side Fluminense in the semifinals of the FIFA Club World Cup on July 8.
That victory booked spot in the final for the Blues with Enzo Maresca’s side on course to face either Real Madrid or PSG in the final on July 13.
Despite their impressive performances in the USA, a host of Chelsea stars have been linked with summer exits, including Noni Madueke, who has been heavily tipped for a move to rivals Arsenal.
Madueke arrived at Stamford Bridge from PSV Eindhoven in 2023 and his current contract with Chelsea is valid until the summer of 2030.
With reports suggesting Madueke could possibly make the move to the Emirates Stadium, Maresca has shared his thoughts on the Englishman’s future at the club.
Speaking to the press ahead of the Fluminense game, Maresca stated he has no doubts over Madueke’s continuation beyond this month.

The Italian coach addressed the ‘noise’ surrounding Madueke’s future, referring to it as ‘difficult to deal with.’
“[We had] the same noise before the Palmeiras game, and we gave him half an hour, he was very good. I don’t have any doubts that if we need Noni, he will help us. I can understand when there’s noise around you, it’s difficult to deal with,” as per Sky Sports.
Will Noni Madueke join Arsenal?
While Maresca has given his verdict on the situation, reports linking Madueke with Arsenal continue to surface, as Mikel Arteta plans a rebuild in North London.
A recent report from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano suggested Arsenal have reached out to Chelsea to sign Madueke, but with a ‘gap in valuation’ between the Premier League giants, so further negotiations are anticipated to finalize a deal.
The report also states Madueke has agreed to a five-year contract with Arsenal.
Madueke has featured in five out of the six Club World Cup games Chelsea have played so far but he is yet to make a goal contribution in the competition.
