Can Emanuel Navarrete go 2-0 against Oscar Valdez when the two face off in a rematch for the WBO super featherweight title on December 7? The fight airs on ESPN (via Fubo) in the U.S.
The two faced off in August 2023. Navarrete (38-2-1) landed 34 shots in the 12th, the most by a Valdez (32-2) opponent. The 10th saw both men land vicious blows, and after a hard-fought battle, Navarrete won via unanimous decision to retain the WBO belt.
Navarrete has gone 0-1-1 since, attempting to win another title in another division. He is back in his proper weight class, ready to defend his turf against a familiar foe.
Valdez won interim gold by taking out Liam Wilson. The former featherweight and super featherweight champion is eager to wear gold around his waist again. If this is the last time he competes for for a title, Valdez will want to make the most of the opportunity in front of him.

“We know he trains in high altitude. This guy throws a high volume of punches, so we have to use our footwork to get away from those shots and counterpunch,” Valdez told DAZN.
“It would mean the world to me (to win gold). I want to be the world champion again. You could lose inside the ring, you could lose in life, but you’re obligated to come back and come back strong.”
