Edgar Berlanga vs. Hamzah Sheeraz undercard: Complete list of fights before main event of 2025 Ring III boxing event

The Ring Magazine will host another massive fight night in New York on July 12. The main event will see a confident Edgar Berlanga face a determined Hamzah Sheeraz. The fight and event will air on DAZN.

Berlanga (23-1) is building his way back up after failing to capture undisputed super middleweight gold in September against Canelo Alvarez. The two-time amateur medalist has 18 wins via knockout.

A win could potentially lead to Berlanga facing Canelo again. The 28-year-old believes in the hype surrounding him and is ready to make a statement on fight night.

“He [Sheeraz] has to go through me first. July 12 is the night I’m looking forward to right now,” Berlanga said. “There’s a lot in the future and a lot of big fights to be made, but like I said, this weekend I have to f— this m—–f—– up. That’s it and then we move on.”

Berkshire’s Sheeraz (21-0-1) fought Carlos Adames to a controversial draw in February for the WBC middleweight title. The former Commonwealth and European champion is ready to impress in a new weight class as he also competes in the United States for the first time.

A multi-division champion acts as the co-headliner on the Edgar Berlanga vs. Hamzah Sheeraz undercard, while a prodigy looks to continue his rise in boxing.

Matias (22-2) won the IBF super lightweight title in 2023. The Puerto Rican fought at home for the first time since 2019 in 2024, losing the belt against Liam Paro. The 33-year-old, who has won all of his fights via knockout, is on a two-fight win streak.
