The Philadelphia Eagles kick off the 2025 NFL season wearing the crown as defending Super Bowl champions, having now captured football’s biggest prize twice in the past eight years.
This offseason brought some tough goodbyes on defense, with veteran pass rushers Brandon Graham and Josh Sweat, along with secondary standouts C.J. Gardner-Johnson and Darius Slay Jr., all moving on. Even so, the bulk of their title-winning nucleus remains in place.
Last season, Jalen Hurts once again proved he’s the NFL’s most dangerous dual-threat QB on the ground, logging a league-high 150 rushing attempts among quarterbacks and finishing third in rushing yards with 630. He powered into the end zone 14 times in 2024, marking his fourth straight year with double-digit rushing touchdowns, a streak that cements him as one of the most prolific scoring QBs in recent memory.
History, however, won’t make things easy—no NFC East squad has repeated as division champs since 2004, and going back-to-back as Super Bowl winners is an even taller order. Still, with the talent on this roster, Philly has all the tools to lift the Lombardi again… if they can navigate a brutal schedule and defy the odds once more.

Eagles radio announcers
Starting in 2008, Eagles fans could catch the action on both WYSP (now WIP-FM) and Sports Radio 610 WIP, thanks to CBS Radio owning the whole playbook.
Calling the shots from the booth is Merrill Reese, the voice of the Birds since the mid-1970s, with former Eagles wideout Mike Quick adding the color between the hash marks.
Down on the turf, Devan Kaney will have her ear to the ground as the sideline reporter for the Eagles Radio Network this season.
