Dolphins’ Tyreek Hill snaps long personal drought with big play vs. Patriots

Tyreek Hill’s long wait is over.

He had gone more than a calendar year without a catch of 30 yards. Finally, Hill ended that stretch on Sunday in Week 2 of the 2025 NFL regular season for the Miami Dolphins.

Hill grabbed a 47-yarder to end the negative streak.

Hill had an 80-yard catch in Week 1 of the 2024 season, but he hadn’t done it since then.

He played all 17 games last season, so it was 16 games in 2024 plus the opener in 2025 that he didn’t have a catch of at least 30 yards.

Hill was asked about it this week, too, and he didn’t take kindly to the question.

“I don’t know, bruh,” Hill responded. “I don’t know, bruh… I’m just grateful to be here, bruh. I love my job, bruh. It’ll come, it’s gonna come. I feel like this week, we got a great opportunity to go out there, make some plays. You know, move past last week. I don’t know, man. It’ll come. Sometime, I hope.”

Hill has had a catch of at least 49 yards in every one of his NFL seasons before this one.

Hill is coming off his first sub-1000-yard season since 2019.

Maybe this is a sign that he’ll finally be getting things going in 2025 for the Dolphins.
